Utah Lake

On Saturday we got to spend the afternoon boating, and learning how to wake surf. Even though it was challenging and definitely a good work out, it was so much fun to try!

On my Dad's first try, he got right up and rode the wave for 2 min... we've decided he's a closet wake surfer...

Michael had a blast being brave and trying tricks...

It took me FOREVER to finally stay up on the board!..

Go baby, Go!... What can I say? Sam's amazing!...

3-Day Birthday Spectacular!

So I have to say, I had the most awesome birthday this year! It was not just a one day affair, it was 3 days! Saturday we celebrated with the Gubler family, they made DELICIOUS ribs and lots of other foods and we all got to spend time together. Sunday, I got to spend the whole day with my sweetie. Monday, we went to Terra Mia and saw "UP" (which was adorable!) with the Nish family. It was so much fun!

I get to go to the Incubus concert on Thursday!!!!

Me and my sweet Sam...

Hello Rhode Island!!

New Port, R.I

Ashley, Angela and I took a day trip to New Port and had a nice relaxing time. We started off the trip eating a whole lobster, walking along the beach, and taking a tour through the Vanderbilt family mansion. Such a great day!

This is A LOT bigger in person- it is a mansion...

I named my lobster Charles...
We were both trying to be taller than the other... Ashley won, but only because her hair was bigger.... :)

Mike Comes to Visit!

Our little brother Michael was able to come out and visit this week and it has been so much fun! It is also exactly what we needed to lift our spirits and get us back in the happy groove of things. We took him to NYC and he had a blast. When we got to the top of the Rockefeller building and watched the sunset, I looked over and saw our lil' man just looking out at Central park soaking up the moment. He is one kid that really knows how to enjoy the simple things in life. He's the sweetest thing.

From the very top of the Rockefeller...

In Grand Central Station... that place was so pretty!

In Central Park, and behind us is the Plaza....

Yay for Hartford!

After a crazy couple of days of being unsure where we would be staying for the summer, we finally settled down. Our apartments are about 15 minutes away from Hartford, and are no where near anything! But we are making the best of this and are excited to get this summer going! The neat part of the 18-hour drive from GA to CT, is we went through a lot places. Here are a few pictures:

So, we will keep you posted with where we end up! Also, all of the states that we have been in since our adventure began in April are as follows:

3 Sale Day

Yesterday was an AWESOME day! Things have been slow getting started and it has definitely been hard staying patient, but with our hearts full of faith and belief that it could only get better... it did! Sam got his first of three sales within the first half hour of the day. He then continued to knock out two more sales. The assistant manager of our office described Sam as having "a honeymoon glow" and a smile from ear to ear. It was a good day....

Braves Game

Last night, Me and a few other girls from our office along with a handful of residents from our complex were given free tickets to a braves game, along with bus limosine ride there and back! It was really cool to go to the Turner Field for the first time, and to just experience the baseball game. Granted, the Braves got spanked by the Rockies, but it was still fun.

Patch the Dancing Dog

Two nights ago, Ashley and me finally got to play DDR (Dance Dance Revolution), and had a blast! The best part of it all was when Ashley picked up Patch and started dancing while holding her. I didn't think patch would like it for very long, but surprisingly she did. As she was dancing with Ashley I was laughing so hard I almost cried, and convinced Ashley to video tape the event....

Our Apartment

I finally sorted through all of our pictures and found the ones of the apartment complex we are living in. And they are so awesome! If only Utah had apartments like these...

Trip to Atlanta

I know it's been a while since I've updated the blog, but we haven't had internet up until now (I'm actually using the offices internet connection.)

The Drive:
Although it took 2 1/2 long days to finally reach our destination, but it was so worth it. We chose to drive the I-70, and because we did, we saw much more than what we would have on any other route (it's what I've been told). The trees, farms, and inner-cities were unique and beautiful.

Kansas was very, very flat and all farms. It only took me about 4 hours into the drive through this plain state that I really got to see how beautiful simplicity really is.

Kentucky was probably one of the greenest states I have seen so far in my life, it was beautiful! It rained our entire drive, and with all of the moisture on the greens, it only made the colors more vibrant and pretty. It was really cool, but unfortunately, I wasn't able to take any pictures..

So, up until this point (since we have arrived) we haven't done any exploring. But as soon as we do, I will upload some more images and update our blog. Love you all!

A little info about the Gubler's

We were married August 21, 2008 in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple in American Fork, Utah. It was a beautiful day and we could not have asked for anything more. Our friends and family joined us for the ceremony and an enjoyable luncheon afterwards.

We are now approaching our newest adventure...moving to Atlanta, GA for the summer. Sam has traveled there once before with his family, and I have enjoyed hearing the stories they have shared about that family vacation, so I am more than excited to create some new ones with my sweet husband. Our goal for this summer is to do well enough that Sam won't have to work full time while trying to do school. He has been doing this for the last couple of semesters and has done incredibly well, but it was quite demanding of him.

So wish us luck, and we will keep you updated every step of the way.
